Guas are made from various materials but at Unwind Spas we prefer to use those made from natural crystals like rose quartz.
Gua sha is a Chinese therapy that involves scraping your skin with a massage tool (Gua) to improve circulation. Most often the focus of this technique is on the face but can be used to address other chronic issues throughout the body. Most often it is requested to address sinus pressure, migraines, neck tension, swelling and TMJ to name a few. Utilizing short and long strokes with light to medium pressure to the affected areas. Sometimes this technique can leave marks on the areas the Gua was used for 3-5 days.
